‘G’Day UK, Hello Hanoi’ International Tour September

From our first performance at Mansion House in Dublin to our final at the Red Scarf Theatre in Hanoi three weeks later, our 11th International Tour was a whirlwind of exciting performances, fun tourist opportunities and new friendships for the 53 choristers, 6 staff and everyone we met along the way. Visiting Ireland and Scotland for the first time and returning to England and Vietnam, the girls presented more than 20 performances and workshops. Highlights included; exploring the medieval Irish town of Carlingford, performing in the Great Hall of Edinburgh Castle, visiting Hampton Court Palace and shopping at Covent Garden in London, and performing for more than 2,000 enthusiastic Vietnamese students at Doan Thi Diem Primary School.

Rockin’ Out West National Tour September

While our international touring team was jet-setting about the globe, our 55 national touring choristers were creating magic moments of their own; singing and dancing their way across three states of Australia. Our 11th National Tour visited Victor Harbor, Murray Bridge, Perth, Margaret River, Bridgetown, Alice Spring and even included an overnight camping trip to Uluru! We were delighted to contribute to a number of charities, including Zonta and Rotary, via fundraising concerts throughout our tour. Through their participation in workshops with local youths, newspaper and radio interviews and mingling with audience members the girls developed performing and life skills that will benefit them well past the conclusion of the tour. A particular highlight was a workshop with School of the Air children aged 4-14 years from all over the Northern Territory; we aim to develop strong relationships with students in our own country and around the world via our extensive touring programme.
