Music Schools are fun-filled weekends of song, dance and drama. They are an important and compulsory part of the curriculum and provide an extension to the work covered in weekly classes.
Allegro, Avanti, Prelude, Concert and Camerata choristers attend a weekend-long, non-residential music school. As much as an extra term's work is completed in two full days, as girls work with professional choreographers and our own music staff. Girls learn new music and all their choreography for the Winter Showcase Concert. The cost of the Music School is covered in annual fees and participation is expected. Piccolo and Vivo choristers do not attend a Music School.
Girls in the Performing Choir attend a week-long residential Music School. The Music School is a highlight of the year for our Performing Choristers, as they make and re-establish friendships with girls from other states, as well as experiencing the satisfaction of learning their year's repertoire.
Music Schools are held during semester one.
