Piccolo, Vivo, Allegro and Avanti choristers do not have a formal performance costume. In the past girls have been asked to wear their best party dress, a white dress or their correct rehearsal uniform. Prior to each concert choristers of these levels will be informed of dress requirements.

Prelude, Concert, Camerata and Performing choristers wear performance costumes when they are involved in Australian Girls Choir concerts and in public engagements. These costumes have been redesigned in recent years and we are delighted with the result. Prelude and Concert choristers will be given a performance costume on their concert day only.

Concert, Camerata and Performing Choristers are required to wear footwear that is appropriate for choreographed pieces, as well as complementing the overall look of the costume. For this reason the girls in the Concert level, Camerata and Performing Choir will need: Bloch, tan coloured, continuous sole jazz shoes. The shoes can be purchased from any dance store and cost approximately $55. Please find below a list of stores that stocks these shoes. You may find a different dance store closer to you in the Yellow Pages. 

NB - This does not apply to Prelude choristers who wear black dress shoes with their performance costume.
