For 40 years, the AGC has delighted audiences across Australia and around the world with our performances at major national and international events, on television and in recording studios; to become a much loved Australian cultural icon.
More than just a choir…
We aim to challenge the traditional view of choirs, and are known for our ability to excite audiences with our impressive choreographed routines, vibrant performance costumes and exquisite singing. We have a diverse and extensive repertoire including much loved Aussie tunes, upbeat and inspirational items, Broadway show numbers, songs from other cultures and of course Christmas Carols! Event organisers often comment on our girls’ professionalism, impeccable behaviour and their wonderful ability to connect and interact with different audiences.
Representing the ‘Spirit of Australia’ for Qantas
There is no greater testament to our reputation than our selection by Qantas to represent the ‘Spirit of Australia’ in their highly acclaimed ‘I Still Call Australia Home‘ advertising campaigns since 1998. We are delighted to have involved thousands of our girls in the filming of the advertisements and in hundreds of live performances and tours for Qantas during our 27 year relationship.
Our performance experience is unparalleled
The AGC has performed with a long list of outstanding artists and personalities from the entertainment world including Hugh Jackman, Olivia Newton-John, Guy Sebastian, Christine Anu and Marina Prior. They have entertained dignitaries including Nelson Mandela, Queen Elizabeth II, Pope Benedict XVI, and President Barack Obama. We have dazzled audiences all over the globe at events including recently at Hugh Jackman’s national tour ‘Broadway To Oz’, the filming of Oprah Winfrey’s live Australia Shows, the AFL Grand Final, Australian Open Tennis and the Boy from Oz arena musical. We have also undertaken several exciting recording projects including the release of our latest CD, Chasing Rainbows, for ABC Music and involvement in the Myer Spirit of Christmas CD.
Professionalism, adaptability and reputation
The AGC is a national organisation with over 40 years of industry experience, and as Australia’s most in demand performing arts organisation, you can feel assured when booking us that you are securing the best. All our girls are trained in song, dance and performance skills and we can offer a performance group from as small as one girl, right up to 200 singers. With performance groups based in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney we can provide the same size and quality of choir across a variety of locations for your events or tours. Our staff team are used to working at many of the country’s largest events and bring a wealth of experience with logistics coordination, stage management, musical direction and choreographic training.

We’re hoping for a strong multi-generational presence at the memorial for our AGC Founder, Judith Curphey OAM, at the Melbourne Town Hall on Thursday December 4. Thank you to those who have already registered. 💐
We’re looking forward to celebrating Judith’s life and legacy; her ‘little choir’ has shaped countless lives over 41 years. Alumni from across the years will perform and there will be some congregational items as well. It would be fabulous to have girls and women from across the 41 year history join in song! We welcome any interested parents also as we know that some mums, in particular, have been very connected to the AGC through their daughters.
If you’re able to attend and represent your generation of the AGC, please do. There’s only one Founder, and this is our chance to honour her vision and determination with music and celebration, not mourning. Please register via link in bio and feel free to share this through your channels so we can reach as many AGC alumni as possible.
For those unable to join us in person, the event will be livestreamed via link in bio.
We look forward to coming together to celebrate Judith’s remarkable life. 💗
