Weekend Sunrise - Channel 7

President Obama Reception

Our Sydney girls had a fabulous time supporting our charity partner, the National Breast Cancer Foundation, on Pink Ribbon Day! The girls took part in a live cross for Channel 9's 'Mornings with Kerri-Anne', before appearing at the lunchtime performance held in Martin Place.

God Save Our Gracious Queen

We've had the most wonderfully exciting week at the AGC, with the highlight being our performance at the official reception for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II held at Parliament House. The Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, introduced a couple of girls to the Queen who accepted some flowers from us and complimented them on the performance.

AGC to perform for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

The AGC is thrilled to have been chosen to perform at the Prime Minister's Reception for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to be held in the Great Hall at Parliament House tonight! Thirty members of the Sydney Performing Choir will travel to Canberra for rehearsals before performing God Save the Queen and Advance Australia Fair with the military band.

Australian Masters Games

International Tour

55 choristers from Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney have departed on the choir's 14th International Tour which is travelling to Boston, New York, Washington, San Francisco and Los Angeles over a three week period. This specially selected group is made up of choristers from Camerata and Performing Choir.

Humpty Dumpty Foundation Annual Ball

Members of the Sydney Performing Choir were delighted to perform at the Humpty Dumpty Foundation Annual Ball to raise money for life saving medical equipment that is needed in children’s hospitals. The girls performed the National Anthem alongside Julie Anthony and a selection of Australian songs in keeping of the evening's theme, 'Proud to be Australian'.
